David, do you really think that cooperation and working together is the name
of the game....?
I dont think there are that many detectorists left that would be so niaive
to believe this anymore.
Detectorists may be fearful for the future of their, they may not have the
answers that fit comfortably with the archaeological community, but the
attitudes expressed on here leave no illusions as the to what the future
holds for the hobby if the Britarchers of this world have their own way...
Many of the arguements are ephemeral in the extreme, such as Nigels pityful
attempt to blacken a childs game for example...
What room for cooperation and working together is there if this is an
example of what we have learned to expect?
> sorry to say the PAS produced a fieldwalking and metaldetecting game to
> show how people when they work together in different ways can show
> different things and all this is brought together to produce a full
> picture... I fail to see why showing what cooperation and recording
> can do is so offensive to you?
> and please please please .... why do you have to paint the broad brush
> picture of teh evil detectorist fighting against the simple but caring
> Nigel... I know you care, we all do.... we jsut have different ways
> of working ...
