Why cite the CoP and EH's guidelines? The great majority of detectorists are
unwilling to comply with them it seems. Not mentioning that fact would be
avoiding focussing on the negative and being further complicit in net damage. I

Perhaps you should, since you have posed it. If your opinion is yes, PAS
should, perhaps you could specify your statutory or other authority.
BTW, I am involved with the only non-detecting website that praises
responsible detecting to the skies and am thus content that I have a balanced view of
the positives and negatives in this issue.
