Anne - you have reminded me of a chap I worked with in Essex many years ago.
He had been living in London for several years and he understood Cambridge
to be in the North of England. That was because he thought everywhere north
of the Thames is in the North of England !

Scotland / Wales relationship a bit as well, especially for those who might
go and take up work / education in a different part of Britain from the one
they started off in, and then find they are involved with a whole different
set of organisations. Is there any literature produced for people applying
for citizenship, or is it not very good?
