How about this?
1. I transform all of the files buildsupport/databases/*.html to .csv
(doing it via Topcat is probably neater, but I've done it with the
xslt route now).
2. I cvs-remove all the .html files and add all the .csv files,
modifying the README to emphasise that these are probably of
historical interest only
3. I repository-move buildsupport/databases to etc/ (or etc/
historical?).
Does anyone see any problems with that?
Then it's just a case of clearing out etc/info. If no-one objects to
the dispositions I suggested in the message of a couple of days ago,
then I'll go ahead with those deletions in the next couple of days.
I agree with Malcolm that some of the columns in docs_lis are rather
redundant. We can leave it as it is with the redundant columns,
which is untidy, but doesn't really hurt. If it's worth reformatting
it, then it should obviously be into XML, and I can do that
quickly. Ah -- docfind still relies on the old format, doesn't
it? In that case, we should probably just leave it, yes?
See you,
Norman
