Hi all, has anyone built the Starlink CVS with -mcmodel=medium and know
of any problems ? I've got an application which needs to read in a >2GB
matrix stored in a FITS binary table and currently I get lots of
/star64/lib/libcfitsio.a(f77_wrap1.o)(.text+0x19a): In function
`CFITS2Unit':
: relocation truncated to fit: R_X86_64_PC32 .bss
/star64/lib/libcfitsio.a(f77_wrap1.o)(.text+0x1c6): In function
`CFITS2Unit':
: relocation truncated to fit: R_X86_64_PC32 .bss
/star64/lib/libcfitsio.a(f77_wrap1.o)(.text+0x1cc): In function
`CFITS2Unit':
: relocation truncated to fit: R_X86_64_PC32 .bss
messages when I try to compile it which I think, reading between the
online runes, means I need the bigger data and .bss segments provided by
mcmodel=medium.
Thanks for any help,
TimL
