recognise the manager of Man utd for example. I for one failed to
recognise Rio Ferdnande. Not that I'm ashamed - it's just that my little
wheezy asthmatic body wasn't up to being thumped by a ball in a sport
designed to suppress male activity. And I didn't just make that up,
either. Tim Parks I think in his history of english football. The Battle
of Waterloo may not have been won on the playing fields of Eton
- the Prussians nor the King's German Legion never went there and
Wellington detested it - still -
