Aston University, in the heart of Birmingham,
invites applications from scholars of
international distinction for a new Professorial
appointment. The School has a long-standing
reputation for excellence, achieving Grade 5 RAE
in 2001. We have recently extended our portfolio
of subjects, notably through expansion in Sociology.
The successful candidate will join the Sociology
Group and contribute to our undergraduate
programme. The group is seeking to enhance
provision through postgraduate developments, and
the post holder will also bring new leadership to
the Centre for Research in Social and Political
Sciences. The successful applicant will make a
major contribution to academic leadership,
research and teaching. All specialisms will be considered.
