CALL FOR PAPERS
On Thursday 21st and Friday 2nd September, the Department of Social and Political Thought at
the University of Sussex will hold a two-day conference for postgraduate students to gain
experience of presenting papers and receiving feedback in a friendly, constructive environment.
As well as postgraduate papers, there will also be two plenary sessions TBA.
Postgraduates who are interested in giving papers should send abstracts of 400 – 500 words by
the 9th September 2006. Papers are invited on any area within social and political thought; and we
particularly welcome interdisciplinary contributions from research students working in the history
of political thought, moral and political philosophy, sociological or anthropological theory,
international relations theory, medical ethics, and jurisprudence. Papers should take no more than
twenty minutes to present. Papers from the conference may be published in our journal, Studies in
Social and Political Thought. Attendance is free of charge.
