Apologies for cross posting.
Dear Colleagues,
Some of you may be interested in the release of several more Jorum Reports which have recently been approved by JISC:
- Automated Metadata Report
This report presents a review of existing and potential metadata automation systems/services that may be of relevance to Jorum. It identifies further metadata creation activity that could be effectively automated. It also presents an overview of other automation systems, examining benefits and drawbacks of automated metadata processes and makes recommendations for future work.
- Jorum Preservation Watch Report
This is the second Preservation Watch report, providing a summary of some of the key initiatives that are currently taking place within digital preservation. It also focuses on issues that need to be addressed before a decision is made about implementing preservation processes for learning objects within Jorum.
These are available at http://www.jorum.ac.uk/publications/
Further reports will be added in the near future.
If any of these reports are of interest and you have any comments/feedback then please send it to [log in to unmask]
