I am writing to advise you that the Call for Applications for the
scholarship programme for MA Special Education Needs (inclusive
education) is now open.
This programme funds 26 non European graduate students to take part in
the Masters programme. This is the third Call for Applications, the
students' occupations are wide-ranging from Ministry of Education
employees, university lecturers, NGO workers specifically employees
from Leonard Cheshire International, Save the Children UK, special
education needs head teachers, teachers and principals to UNESCO EFA
employees.
I was wondering if there is any possibility that you could help
publicise the programme for me or give me guidance on the best place to
advertise. Maybe you have contacts with other NGOs/university
departments or directly to people who could benefit from this
scholarship. Perhaps you know somebody who is doing high level research
in SEN/Inclusive Education who could benefit from the 3 month
scholar/research programme.
The European Commission funds 26 graduate scholarships worth EURO
24,000, approximately USD 30,000 for 1 year study and 4 scholar/research
scholarships worth EURO 13,000, approximately USD 16,000 for 3 months
study.
The MA takes place in Roehampton University, London, UK, Fontys
University of Applied Sciences, Tilburg, The Netherlands and Charles
University, Prague, The Czech Republic. The students will study at a
minimum of 2 of these locations.
Students need to have a first degree either in an Education field or be
able to demonstrate in their professional work why they would benefit
from this MA programme. They must also have achieved the required
English language level 15th December 2006.
Further information and applications are available on our website at
Http://www.roehampton.ac.uk/international/erasmusmundus
Roehampton University has also applied to the EU Commission for 2 more
scholarship programmes, Human Rights in Practice (EURO 42,000
scholarship for 2 year programme) and Audiovisual Translation (EURO
42,000 scholarship for 2 year programme). The EU will advise in early
October if we have been successful with these bids but I would also
appreciate it if you could advertise these programmes for which I have
attached the information. The information will also be available at the
web address above.
Please do not hesitate to contact us should you require any information.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for your time
and assistance.
Yours Sincerely
Hilary Jones
