Hi everyone!
The public comment period for the new DC-RDF Working Draft has ended. I
have collected the comments and discussions we've had on this list in a
report, which is available here:
http://dublincore.org/architecturewiki/DCRDFTaskforce/PublicCommentJune2006
To summarize, the following issues have been discussed:
* The consequences of adding domains and ranges to DCMI properties
* The relationship between encoding schemes and the corresponding RDF
concepts.
* The use of rdf:value
* The use of datatyped literals as objects of RDF statements
* The use of dc:type vs. rdf:type
* The use of rich representations
* Using syntax encoding schemes and language tags simultaneously
A few changes to the DCAM have been suggested, that would in turn
influence both this draft and the new DC-XML draft.
A few changes to the draft itself have also been suggested.
We will now take these comments into consideration. I expect an
interesting discussion at DC2006 in preparation for an updated document!
/Mikael
