Maybe try and take a look in a library first - if you are interested in the
academic study of Ancient Egyptian Magick - then pretty crucial (and
fascinating) and anything else by R Ritner for that matter. If Egyptology is
more of a background interest - then as i'd say - get it on interlibrary
loans first. It does have a great deal of fascinating material that can be
interpreted in relation to the Sethian mythos (as well as much else) - and
the section on magick in my own book 'The Bull of Ombos' is inspired by
stuff in Ritner and elsewhere. My book isn't an academic book but more for
the practitioner.
Ritner's analysis of Egyptian magick is so much superior to anything that
came before. Ie forget about Budge (if you'd not already done that.)
If your initially interest is in Seth, then there are other academic books
then Te Velde's 'Seth: God of Confusion' is probably first stop -
'love and do what you will'

PS: some discussion of the thread about the meaning of 'wyrd' down the pub
last nite - some scepticism from the runic types who do see wyrd as related
t the three norns - which they see as a pre-classical notion. Any thoughts
on that.

Hmmm, want the book,..... want it....
So basically people here who have read it would recommend it?
