Hello all,
We have discussed the exchange problem quite often with our MAXqda users.
Personally, I am a sceptical regarding the development of a qda.por standard
format. Nearly ten years ago we started an inititative for such a common
exchange format(*) but it never came to reality (whatever the reasons are).
If one looks at the history of the Text Coding Initiative and all the
detailed technical problems there is only few hope for solutions in the next
years. Anyway, we should sit together and try to define such a standard for
qualitative data exchange (as a long-term target).
Concerning the near future, I totally agree with Normand Peladeau: Until we
have our own standards, the easiest way to exchange will be unicode text
(rtf) and html.
Best regards
Udo Kuckartz
