medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Hi, Catherine,
There's a bit, not much, in my own little opus, Pagan Survivals,
Superstitions and Popular Cultures (307-310), on the use of the liturgy and
fasting for doing one's enemies a bit of no good.Canon 5 of Toledo XVII
(694) deals specifically with the practice you mention.
