Subject: [Drsig] National Archives releases Xena 3.0 Lite
To: "'Digital Repositories Special Interest Group'" <[log in to unmask]>
The National Archives of Australia is pleased to announce that the latest
version of our digital preservation software, Xena 3.0 Lite has been
officially launched this week.
The Xena software is now principally a framework designed to interoperate
with other preservation workflows as a component doing the 'heavy lifting'
work of conversion to openly documented formats. So it might for example be
used as part of the ingest process in an institutional repository.
The Xena 3.0 Lite product is a streamlined GUI offering easy access to a
selection of the Xena framework features, packaged as an easy to use desktop
application.
