The message back in June 2004 (which can be found here:
commented on how unwise it was to rely on a third party (eg google) to
provide indexing for your website as you have little control over the
results. By anyone's standards, this is hardly 'especially critical'.
Oh, and it *predates* my relationship with OAD by many months, so your
insinuation that the posting was coloured by some commercial interest
frankly just doesn't stand up, and is still insulting.
It's quite clear though that you don't wish talk about the substantive
point of your original message that I have kept on returning to:
you posted a link from the journal 'Scientific American' along
with some comments, without any support, suggesting that dynamically
generated web pages are deliberately delivered slower by telcos than
static pages, and they 'get away with it because the hidden web
databases are not subject to the laws that govern the visible
Internet'. It's still no more apparent as to how this is done, and what
laws protect the visible Internet.
