Good afternoon and apologies for cross posting

I cannot believe how fast time is going. There are just a few weeks left
before the start of IEA's inaugural seminar on Electronic Document and
Records Management Systems - EDRMS: Local People, Local Knowledge. In
fact - it's three weeks today. So if you haven't had chance to book your
place at the seminar, now is the time to do it.

We have been very fortunate to obtain speakers from a wide range of
organisations, we have case studies from the Department of the Premier
and Cabinet, City of Rockingham and the National Offshore Petroleum
Safety Authority, as well as the Corruption and Crime Commission and
Mindarie Regional Council. We also have international speakers who are
based here in Perth who are willing to share their time with us and will
be speaking on Return on Investment - is it an asset or a boat anchor?
How to create a climate for innovation and change and why marketing is
the forgotten phase. We also have sessions by:

Ms Jo Bryson, Executive Director of the Office of E-Government who will
present a paper entitled - Transform, lead and collaborate: Managing in
a 21st Century context. Ms Bryson, says "We live, work, socialise and do
business in a global, 24x7, always on, mobile environment, where
customer expectations and the ways in which we work are undergoing
transformational change. The paper outlines the challenges that we face
and the work that the Office of e-Government is undertaking to
transform, lead and collaborate across the Western Australian public
sector in this exciting environment. It also explores four critical
leadership factors that are being used by successful organizations for
engaging and energizing change from within".

And Mr John Kay will be explaining why we are "Driving Information
Opportunities from the Records Compliance Challenge. John Kay is the
Manager - Corporate Delivery Solutions, Department of Education and
Training (DET), Western Australia. "In the workplace of the future only
two things matter - people and knowledge". However it was not until
records legislation was introduced that organisations worldwide
appreciated how much corporate information and knowledge had been
lost. The State Records Act and associated Records Keeping Plans can
impact your business in one of two ways. They can either create
considerable additional effort for all staff, or they can deliver
considerable business benefit, efficiencies and information
opportunities for all staff and the agency. This presentation explores
how agencies can leverage the need for records compliance to deliver
win-win opportunities for all".

For a full programme of events, please visit our web site -
http://www.iea.com.au. You can either download a copy of the
registration form or you can book your place online. As we have
mentioned previously - If you can't make the full three days, we do
understand and you can share your registration with a colleague or two.
Simply contact Congress West and they will assist you.

We look forward to seeing you there
