Knowledge and Records Manager - £32,000-£40,000
The Postal Services Commission (Postcomm), the independent regulator of the
UK postal market, has created a new role of Knowledge and Records Manager
(ref PSC/06/12).
You will have the opportunity to develop, and then implement, an effective
records management system. Your responsibilities will include the
development and delivery of a records management system (both paper and
electronic records management), to ensure that the management board is kept
appraised of progress, and to take forward other information and records
management tasks as identified. The challenge will be to scope the range
of the task and to ensure that you win the confidence of management and
those across the organisation to introduce an effective system.
You will have at least four years’ experience in Records and Information
Management, Knowledge Management or Data Protection and be able to
demonstrate a high level of flexibility, adapting to changes in
priorities. You will be a motivated individual, able to lead colleagues in
change-management processes. You will have good communication skills;
including the ability to explain issues to colleagues and senior management
to ensure buy-in to your proposals. As a self-motivated individual, you
will quickly gather and assimilate data and utilise the relevant resources
to get the job done.
In return for delivery of this mix of technical and interpersonal skills,
we are offering a very competitive salary, 30 days’ annual leave, a civil
service pension scheme, season ticket loan and study support where
appropriate.
