Senior Records Manager

Hampshire County Council is seeking a committed and experienced records manager to play a senior role in the planning and delivery of records management across the authority at an exciting time.
Working closely with the county's IT Services you will support the development of the information management framework and implementation of electronic records management. You will also oversee the work of a small records management team, currently based at Hampshire Record Office, and will help to plan for the transfer of the service to a new records centre.
You should possess a postgraduate qualification in records management and/or archives or equivalent experience; at least 5 years' experience in records management; good knowledge of relevant legislation including Freedom of Information and Data Protection and the requirements of e-government for local authorities; excellent supervisory skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate confidently and authoritatively to groups of senior managers.
