There is also a summary on the website www.campaignformuseums.org.uk

MGM Evaluation and Planning Seminar: MGM will go out on a high this year
with a number of high profile events taking place over the Spring Bank
Holiday Weekend (see latest MGM Email Bulletin - if you are not receiving
this, please let us know). We are now planning an Evaluation and Planning
Seminar in September in London to do exactly that - evaluate some of the
innovations this year and plan for next year. This will be by invitation
and numbers will be limited. If you would like to make a contribution to
the strategic development of Museums and Galleries Month for 2007 and 2008
by taking this part in this seminar, please let me know: email
[log in to unmask] <mailto:[log in to unmask]> .
We will be producing another MGM News (printed version) and a Report - so I
am still looking for good pictures of events involving people in your
museums, galleries or at historic sites. Please email as above.
Next Campaign for Museums conference: Partly because of the MGM Seminar,
the next Campaign for Museums' marketing conference will now be in early
December in London. If you have suggestions for major marketing issues
which would be of interest to the sector, please let me know. More
information will in any case follow in September.
Some upcoming events: In the meantime, here are some interesting marketing
related conferences and events happening over the next few months:
Wednesday 7 June - Fair Trade Study Day with ACE (Association of Culture
Enterprise) at the Walker Art Gallery Liverpool. Retailing with a conscience
is not only admirable and possible, but can be profitable also. This study
day will show you the difference it can make, from the suppliers through to
the retailer's perspective - and it may be that as little as one range, or
one bay, in your shop can help to achieve this. Speakers include David
Fleming, Director, National Museum Liverpool and
Jeremy Piercy, Shared Earth. T 01905 724734 | F 01905 724744 E ac
