Indeed. Back on 25. March of this year, commenting on Ludger of Münster
("saints of the day 26. March"), I had occasion to mention in passing
the recent beatification of one of L.'s successors in the see of Münster
(Westfalen), Clemens August Graf von Galen (d. 1946). But, because the
matter was not medieval, I refrained from providing a few links for
persons who wished to find out more about this vigorous opponent of the
Nazi programmes of euthanasia for the mentally ill and others
characterized as "life unworthy of life". Encouraged now by Karl's
example, I offer belatedly a few pertinent links:

To keep things somewhat medieval, here's a link to a virtual tour of
Münster's originally thirteenth-century St.-Paulus-Dom (cathedral of St.
Paul; rebuilt in 1956):

Best again,
John Dillon
