medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
I can share - off-list - some samples of unpublished thirteenth-century
sermons using animals (fox, lion, boar, etc.) as examples of sins. In my
experience, though, sermons in this period didn't deviate much from
bestiaries in how beasts denoted specific moral deficiencies.
