Inventory of surviving manuscripts of the works of St. Jerome and of works falsely attributed to Jerome. The table of initia in Vol. IVB includes all pseudo-Hieronymian works. ?

I couldn't find a chronology in Brown's *Vir Trilinguis*, but I did
find some possibly helpful references. The section "Jerome and the
biblical canon" is on pp. 62-71.
For his view of the canon in general:
He cites H.H. Howorth, "The Influence of St. Jerome on the Canon of
the Western Church," *Journal of Theological Studies* 10 (1908):
481-96; 11 (1909): 321-47; 13 (1911): 1-13, but suggests that his
chronology is "open to serious doubt." He cites P.W. Skehan, "St.
Jerome and the Canon of the Holy Scriptures," *A Monument to St.
Jerome,* edited by F.X. Murphy (New York, 1952), 259-87.
Brown gives a date of 395 for Letter 53, definitely after the
*Prologus Galeatus* (I don't know where he got the date). Here's
what he says about the letter: "The list is interesting in that it
includes all the books in the Hebrew canon, but the order in which
they are recorded has been influenced by the LXX canon in two ways.
First the minor prophets are placed before the other prophets, and
second, Daniel is placed at the end of the prophets, ostensibly as
one of them. This is a good example of Jerome's ambivalent attitude
to the canon; the scholar is influenced by the original Hebrew canon,
but the churchman cannot stray too far from the revered tradition of
the LXX canon." (68)
