medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Knowles and Hadcock, Medieval Religious Houses, p 436 has no indication that
it was anything other than a secular college. What is the original source
that suggests it was? If it was a 'royal free chapel' used for rewarding
kings' servants, that might explain why there was money to spend on
dependent chapelries?
Are you aware of the fifteenth-century register of admissions etc in
Cambridge University Library?
