Dear list members

The final programme for the International Workshop at University of Kent at
Canterbury is now attached [List mod's note: see below for text.]

The workshop will focus on showcasing innovative projects, on achieving
change, promoting good practice, user participation and working in an
international context. The workshop is organised in conjunction with the
European MA in Migration Mental Heath and Social Care and will bring
together experts working in the field of refugee and migrant health and
social care from the UK and Europe.

Speaking at this year's workshop are:-

Dr Sandy Gifford, Professor of Public Health and Director, Refugee Health
Research Centre, La Trobe University, Australia;

Representatives of community organisations:

  a.. Loan Anh Nguyen from Refugee Action,
  b.. Nursel Tas from Derman,
  c.. Cefa Karabag from the Turkish Education Group and
  d.. Laura Watson, British Trust for Conservation Volunteers;

Dr Fragkiskos Filippaios, Kent Business School;

Andy Keefe, Refugee Council;

Barbara Donovan, Project Manager Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children -
Safe Case Transfer, Manchester;

Mary Blanche - Head of Service for Kent County Asylum Seeker and
Refugee Support Unit (CASRU);

and Dr Sarah Montgomery, GP, Shepway PCT
