It's not long to go now until the 4th INFINITI Conference on International
Finance (12-13 June 2006), hosted by the Institute for International
Integration Studies here at Trinity College Dublin.
This year we are focusing on the theme of "Measuring and Managing
Contagion". Our keynote speaker will be Mark Flannery, BankAmerica Eminent
Scholar at the Warrington College of Business, University of Florida, and
we are also delighted to have Dušan Mramor, from the University of
Ljubljana and previous Minister of Finance of the Republic of Slovenia, to
moderate a Special ‘Meet the Ministers' Roundtable Session on “Political
Action in Financial Crises: Dampers or Amplifiers”. Additionally, Paul
Bennett, senior VP and chief economist of the NYSE will give a
practitioners' viewpoint during a plenary session. And finally, Peter
Richmond from Trinity College Dublin and Janusz Holyst from the Warsaw
University of Technology will speak in support of the Econophysicists.
Apart from our many special guests, we also have many excellent papers
scheduled for presentation during the programme. The draft programme is
