That's about right. Do you think that they want to put the money will be put into the 'employment and support' allowance mentioned in the welfare reform green paper? or at least will justify reducing the ILF's by saying so.
I have just read 'disabled people, the reserve army of labour and welfare reform' Grover and Piggott 2005 in Disability and Society, Vol 20 No 7 p705-717. Has anyone read it,the point i picked up if i am right is that disabled people are secondary to national capital/economy in the welfare reform agenda because it serves the interest of the state to build up potential members of the workforce. It also says that this is a move from welfare to 'workfare'.
What do others think? I think this could be a useful point / arguement to work into DAN's Anti Poverty Campaign for Disabled People.
