Alternate Energy Sources For A Flourishing Future

"Finding and using alternate energy sources is of vital importance to
your future, and mine. Some say that the human race may have about fifty
years in which to get it rightor just to survive.
And just think of that ever-rising cost of petrol!
Reducing the energy you and I use daily is one practical, and significant
thing almost anyone can do.
This website informs you about many alternate energy sources."

The Advantage Of Renewable Energy... And More!
One advantage of renewable energy is the more sustainable use of finite

Topic: Vulnerability and the Good Side of Human Nature
Program Transcript
<http://www.abc.net.au/rn/talks/perspective/stories/s1111660.htm>
Recently, we have seen terrible images of severe abuse of prisoners by
American army personnel in Iraq. The bearers of democracy, those, who
would free the Iraqi people from oppression, were shown to share the evil
tendencies of the tyrant they overthrew. Is this then our human nature?
It is a phenomenon that is of course known from concentration camps and
wars elsewhere and in every other place where some people have been put in
dominant positions to vulnerable others and then grew to objectify them as
the otheras the other who is dependent and worthless and towards whose
humanity we may become overtly insensitive, particularly if the setting is
secretive.
It seems that many, if not all of us, carry this dark side in our human
nature, waiting to emerge under ripe conditions. If so we should pay great
attention to the environment within our prisons, nursing homes, and any
other institutions where segregated groups of people are shielded from the
publics eye and are vulnerable to objectification as the other. Australia
knows its own history of abuses in such areas. It is partly why we have
set standards, funded monitoring, advocacy and complaint services.

The Truth About Losing Weight On A Vegetarian Diet
Posted:

" "It does not matter what you eat. Just don't eat a lot, exercise, and
your weight will not be a problem." True? Not quite! There is scientific
evidence that a vegetarian diet keeps that weight down, whereas meat
eaters put it on. What you eat does matter. You know that weight loss is
an industry. A money-making industry with many claims to make: Claims of
weight loss pills, herbs and juices. Claims of exercise machines and
exercise programmes. Claims of high-fat, no fat or lean diets. Which work?
Which do not? How to find those things that work? It is bewildering. And
expensive!"
