I've made a translation (from Latin into English) of
an unique set of medieval symbols of degrees and faces
from "Astrolabium Planum" of Johannes Engel.
This list of symbols can be traced back to the famous
Italian philosopher, physician and astrologer of the
13th-14thcc., Pietro d'Abano.
I'm going to distribute this translation as an ebook.
There are 135 pages in this book. The size of this book
is about 6.5M. The format of this book is PDF.
The book contains text and pictures of 360 degrees and
36 faces. Besides there is a complete English translation
of these symbols made by Robert Turner in the 17th century.
More over, there is a fragment from "Annus Tenebrosus,
or The Dark Year" of William Lilly, where he uses these
symbols for the solar eclipse of April, 8th, 1652.
