You don't have to call me God, Patrick. Painless Redeemer And Friend to Non Aggressive Quadrupeds will do.
I shall stop counting soon - no, now, because there's an above zero count and I am bored with [or "bored of" - for those of that persuasion) my own nagging - but had thought I'd mention it. Make people aware, you know.
As I have no faith in overcoming untrighteousness, I shall revert to receiving single messages when I am able to download every day, though unsnipped messages are still dreary even then.
I trust it is rain free in Raynes Park. It was quite nice in Wimbledon over the weekend. Nearly wrote a poem but settled for eating a lamb sandwich.
The sun is shining on the Atlantic, but it's a bit chilly. I shan't go to the co-op till it's warmed up
At Saturday's workshop, wf launched Alaric's _The Tracks_ and a reissue of Eric Mottram's _A Prosthesis of Poetry_ - a cheap and cheerful edition - the last sold out around 30 years ago... First long discussion of Cobbing (72); second sensible discussion after the odd but perceptive dsh (66) in Extra Verse 17. This edition lacks the illustrations of the first edition (a reprint from Second Aeon issue number I have forgotten) because the screening of the prints got in the way
They're not essential - then it was partly a matter of making sure people knew what Cobbing's work and performance could look like.
Jennifer Pike, his widow, was the photographer; and she'll be digging out originals so that we can restore the original whole. Meantime the text is available or will be soon.
The announced Nicholas Johnson did not get reissued because I had left my A3 portfolio here
Next time... 29th April, same place, same time ... and another A S pamphlet, probably _Trace_, a transcription of the text from some written / drawn A3 pencil works mid 90s
All this publishing will be announced properly in May, the website updated to show all items available, PayPal added, and peace on earth for a thousand years - though that'll start towards the end of the month because it involves staff training
PS Re Iran, I seem to remember some hinting by denial of nukes re Iraq. The Labour Party does the same thing. Denies that it is going to do something bigger than it is, so that everyone thinks theyve won something when they only do what they intend
On the other hand, given their singular inability to conduct an invasion and occupation with all their power despite the disorganisation of Iraq, they may have decided to nuke Iran
After all, it's more democratic. Conventional warfare leaves a lot of people missing out on War Experience. Ideally, though, there would be weapons that offer CHOICE Die, Survive, Abort - if Die press 1 for death by blast or evaporation 2 for death by firestorm press 2 again if you prefer suffocation due to lack of oxygen 3 lingering death by irradiation
My gut feeling, and by definition that is considerable, is that we are being offered a false intention to attack; but a lot of Iranians are going to die anyway; and maybe the rest of us
