Hi Jill,
thanks for your comments, and I liked your snap very
much too and have kept thinking of it, that sense of
disjoined and determined, which I thought Stephen
caught, and also of Stephen's.
That's interesting about the 'cool change' of the
waves of the wind, and that it's a sort of tangible
cusp. Here it was like spring for a few days and then
went to rain yesterday and snow this morning, and I'm
glad that a bit of my snap made you feel something of
the unfelt snow. Well, I've been through so many cusps
by now I should be in my cups! just joking, but, yes,
maybe.
Anyway, I'm just back from a reading by C.D. Wright,
incredibly good, such accuracies of speech and
phrasing, so many phrases that I wished to keep as
they went by, and spacious, without losing any
sharpness at any of the points of that field of space.
And then out to dinner with her and also Penelope
Creeley, Olga Broumas, and Ralph Lombreglia, much fun,
just a blast, talking about 9000 things, much politics
among other things, at this great
Vietnamese/French/Cambodian place called Elephant
Walk, so in much a good moment.
And thanks for your post.
Cheers,
Rebecca
