Then the 'Babylonians themselves say
owing to the great size of the city
the outskirts were captured
without the people in the centre
knowing anything
about it' But 'Babylon
was now doomed

they celebrate are but craters
in sand stretched far away
walls fallen in then & elsewhere
but others new built
beyond that rusty horizon
where some prepare to cull
the usual suspects
