medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Sharan Newman (check spelling) writes medieval mysteries but I've never seen
her post to this list.
Me neither - but I'm not long joined. However, Sharan is seriously good and
well-researched. She makes a great deal of use of the Jewish sub-culture of
12th C France which gives her work an added dimension.
Could I also recommend Pat McIntosh ? Late 15th C Scottish Lowlands. Don't
be put off by the Scots dialect words - all comes clear in context. Two out
so far (on both sides of the pond) The Harper's Quine; and, The Nicholas
Feast. A 3rd due in June called (I think) The Merchant's Mark.
