The deadline for submitting abstracts to the Nordic Sociological Conference has been extended to April 21, 2006. Also Economic Sociology workshop is still accepting abstracts.
Description of the workshop
The workshop covers an extensive array of economic sociology themes, demonstrating a growth in interest in this expanding sociological subfield. The examples of the covered topics are:
- economic sociology and social theory
- sociology and economics
- new developments in economic sociology
- economic sociology of work, employment, class and family
- income, poverty and wealth
- economic inequality and stratification
- economic systems, markets and institutions
- economy and welfare states
- economic sociology of culture
The list of topics/themes should serve as a guide and proposals that do not fit directly into these themes are also welcome.
Colleagues wishing to participate are invited to submit electronically an ABSTRACT of up to 200 words along with their particulars and their complete postal and electronic address to the congress office ([log in to unmask]) at the University of Turku, Lemminkäisenkatu 14-18 B, Fi-20520 Turku, Finland, and not to the work shop coordinators.
