in 'current peak lists' what is the differenc between these two
functions? It isn't clear rom the documentation
[Clone Peaks ]
Make exact copies the peaks from the selected peak list ino another list
if the dimensionality of the target list matches. This option prompts
the user to select the destination list and the button changes to become
[ Cancel Cloning ]. Selecting this option then interrupts the selection
of the destination peak list, such that clicking the table only selects
a list as normal.
[ Reproduce Peaks ]
Reproduce the peaks from the selected peak list in another list (if the
dimensionality of the target list matches) by using the peak picker to
try to pick peaks at the positions of the peaks in the source list. If
the picker is successful in picking a new peak any assignments will be
diplicated. This option prompts the user to select the destination list
and the button changes to become [ Cancel reproduction ]. Selecting this
option then interrupts the selection of the destination peak list, such
that clicking the table only selects a list as normal.
I was sort of expecting that clone peaks would reproduce the peaks in
the same position and reproduce peaks would try and pick the peak in the
new spectrum.
Thus I understood reproduce peaks would not pick a peak if the peak
position in the new spectrum is below the noise floor and would put the
peak in a new position if the peak centre had moved...
