Records Management is a developing new service for the County Council. It provides physical storage and a fast, efficient retrieval service for records to directorates and business units across the County. Records Management is a key function operating within the County Council's Record Office.
The successful candidate will be involved with the day to day administration of the Records Management service including the transfer, retrieval and disposal of records from the records management storage facility. You will also be involved in the provision of archive services to the public. As the Record Office is continually raising the profile of the services it provides for both NYCC staff and the public, you must be willing to work occasional Saturdays or Sundays.
You should have a minimum of 3 GCSE's (or equivalent), including Maths and English at Grade C or above. You must be confident in dealing with both internal and external customers and be able to work with a high degree of attention to detail. You must have good ICT skills. A full clean driving licence would be an advantage.
