I can't believe I'm having to ask this, but can anyone recommend a
up-to-date timeline for new media writing?
At trAce this was something we often discussed doing but could never afford
the resources to produce, and now I can't find anything like it. I'm looking
for a simple dated history of new media writing from, say, Judy Malloy's
Uncle Roger to the present day. There are quite a few histories of hypertext
but these all seem to centre around Storyspace and Eastgate and often end in
the 90s. And there are lots of selected reading and viewing lists but many
don't contain dates for the works. I seem to remember seeing a few such
lists of new media art, but nothing specifically for new media writing.
Surely this thing exists! I look forward to your suggestions!
Thanks
Sue
