OK - what have I done wrong? The above failure is CUPID, which I added to
ALL_TARGETS yesterday. It seems that CUPID is not being configured
before "make world" tries to build it. Consequently, there is no Makefile
available and it generates the error

At what point does each component get configured in the nightly build?
