I was musing this morning about Lauren Silberman's Kalamazoo talk last
year (Achilles Tatius and Busirane), ancient novels, and what a chore
it is to actually read them.
Thank heavens, though: thanks to the internet, that's no longer necessary!
+ Wikipedia, the all-knowing oracle, has pretty good starter articles
on Heliodorus, Achilles Tatius, Chariton, and Longus.

+ And the Petronian society has long (but not too long!) summaries of
Chaireas and Callirhoe, Aethiopica, Ephesian Romance, Daphnis and
Chloe, Leucippe and Cleitophon, and Apollonius King of Tyre.

Remember, Peter Parker, with great power comes great responsibility.
