I didn't immediately assume this was autobiographical,
or even that Ken agrees with its assertions,
although other people seem to have assumed one or both of these
and Ken isn't contradicting them.
I don't know who Mary Karr and George Herbert are, although
one might assume from the poem that Mary became Catholic in order
to be with George.
Either way, I like it - it's someone trying to describe how their
experience feels and doing a fair job of it.
Whether we agree with the assertion in the final stanza
or not, I think it's a fine piece of work.
