Hi Pierre - I hear from friends who've worked with him that he's the nicest
man, in stark contrast to his plays, which are not nice at all...

True, Fred, and it can't be said about a lot of playwrights - Pinter's
poetry being a high profile example (but also Tennessee Williams - eewww -
and many others, oddly great poets of the theatre). The Ascent of Mt Grappa
is very fine, I think.
