Dear colleagues,
The CD-LOR Project needs your help!
The JISC-funded CD-LOR Project (Community Dimensions of LO Repositories:
http://www.ic-learning.dundee.ac.uk/projects/CD-LOR/ ) is identifying
and analysing the non-technical, social and cultural factors that
influence learning communities in their use of repositories of teaching
and learning materials.
We are now starting a workpackage on reviewing institutional policy and
strategy with regard to repositories of teaching & learning materials,
which will feed into both a set of recommendations on such institutional
strategy and policy, and a set of structured guidelines for those
setting up repositories. We are focused on UK higher and further
education (i.e. universities and colleges). However, institutional
policies and strategies abroad that may have had a positive impact would
obviously be of interest.
We would be very grateful to anyone who could send us:
1. Any existing documents or papers that may have carried out a similar
review of institutional strategy and/or policy, even if within a limited
scope, including those that don't mention repositories but do talk about
sharing and reuse of teaching & learning materials;
2. Any actual strategy or policy documents from your own institutions
that have a bearing on repositories and/or sharing/reuse of teaching &
learning materials (including those that don't mention them but perhaps
should!).
Many thanks.
Best,
Sarah
