No everything is fine they just changed the packaging a bit.

This is complex to answer, it depends on if you want to use pools to
limit disk use by VO.
If you dont then one pool per partition is fine.

This is not a MUST but is recomended for performance reasons. It cant be done retrospectively so
if
/pnfs/<domainName>/data/<voName>/generated
already exists its too late to make it.
YAIM does this auto-magically, I recomend adding VO's using YAIM.

No you can create as many DB's as you like just each one needs a server
and each eats a little ram.
Here's a status function for the number of available database slots for
the pnfs section in YAIM.

No problems, I recommend the D-Cache book and having a look into the new
YAIM, I think the current release supports all this, the Glite 3.0
release does without doubt.
