dear Developers,
trying to write a macro that sets the "Figure of Merit" for a couple of
peaks at the same time, I discovered that there is a difference between
the way peaks get selected in the spectra and in the peaklists. While
the former are available through the ArgumentServer using
argServer.getCurrentPeaks() the latter are not that easily accessable. I
wonder if that difference is intentional (considering the fact that both
are just two different representations of the same object). If yes it
would be nice if there was a complimentary function in argServer for
Peaklists.
Another issue I have is with the way the AssignmentDialogue can be
invoked. Since selecting the peak in the spectra first, is not necessary
to invoke the dialogue, there is no clue apart from the chemical shifts
which peak is actually assigned. This is very cumbersome when working
with groups of close pekas. Since the dialogue could be also invoked
from a PeakList so that the peaks might not even be visible. As a
suggestion it would be nice if there was an optical clue showing which
peak the AssignmentDialogue is focussed on (maybe a circle?) or to have
things working more in the "Sparky-way" meaning that the assignment
always works on the selected peak (no difference if selected from a
spectrum or list). The latter would probably mean that typing "a" close
to a peak would also select this peak.
