Research Assistant
Fixed term of two-years

Manchester Business School is the largest campus-based business and
management school in the UK. To help us build on this position, we are
looking for a Research Assistant to join us.
You’ll work on a two-year EPSRC-funded project that seeks to develop a
diagnostics tool for assessing effectiveness in decision making practices
to sustain business viability. You’ll have a background in one or more of
the following areas: decision sciences, computing, information systems,
management cybernetics, performance management or operational research.
You’ll be responsible for interviewing, analysing and recording data,
programming, writing research reports, organising workshops and giving
presentations.
In addition to a good first degree and a related MSc, you’ll need
experience in a programming language and good interpersonal and
communication skills. Experience of developing software applications in
JAVA and capability maturity models would also be an advantage.
