The Combined Regions announces roadshow dates for new Unity resource
sharing and ILL service
The Combined Regions has announced a series of roadshows where librarians
are invited to find out more about the new Unity resource sharing and
interlibrary loan service. The new generation of UnityWeb brings the
previously separate union catalogues of The Combined Regions and LinkUK
into one service.
The roadshows start on Tuesday 14th March and run until Thursday 6th
April, in all areas of the UK – from Taunton to Aberdeen.
For a full list of dates and venues and to book your place using the
online booking service, visit the events page at The Combined Regions
website at http://www.thecombinedregions.com/events.html
The roadshows are free to attend and will cover:
• An introduction to the benefits of the new service
• The opportunity to see the new service
• An outline of timescales for the new service
• An explanation of how library authorities can take advantage of
the new service.
Librarians can receive up-to-the-minute news, and discuss the new service
with members of The Combined Regions’ board, colleagues and the team at
OCLC PICA by joining the TCR mailing list
www.fdusa.com/fdsupport/mailman/listinfo/tcr.
For more information or to discuss the new service, contact Georgina
Devane or Katie Anstock on [log in to unmask]
The new Unity service will be hosted and managed by OCLC PICA and FDI,
world-leaders in resource sharing.
