Importance: Low
ACPA is sponsoring a National Seminar: "Enhancing Learning for Students
with Disabilities: The Intersection of Disability Studies and Student
Development Theories" on April 6 & 7, 2006 at the National Center for
Higher Education in Washington, D.C. This seminar is the first of its
kind to help scholars and practitioners integrate two seemingly
dissimilar areas of study and create new practical applications for
their work with students with disabilities.
The seminar offers the following:
1. Interactive plenaries;
2. Concurrent sessions;
3. Small group discussions;
4. CE credits from the National Board for Certified Counselors; and
5. Presentation by Drs. Nancy Evans, Simi Linton and Jeanne Higbee.
In addition, you can talk with national experts on current federal
legislation and implications for students with disabilities during a
pre-seminar workshop held April 5, 2006.
Space is limited to 100 participants, so register today! For details,
