Please spend a few minutes looking at the proposal for a new term for
adaptability that will allow us to describe the accessibility of
resources, among other things.
It has been suggested we should not move forward on this but I would
like to know two things urgently (before March 6):
first,
* if people think we should have a new DC term called adaptability
for adaptability/accessibility- see the definition etc at <http://
dublincore.org/accessibilitywiki/NewElementProposal>
and secondly,
* how the wording might be improved, what might be better examples, etc.
You may also be interested to look at a possible application profile
that would use the term for describing the accessibility of
resources... see <http://dublincore.org/accessibilitywiki/
AccessForAllApplicationProfile>. Please note that this application
profile is NOT being proposed, it is only an example of what might be
wanted.
Please give this work your attention as soon as possible. It may make
a big difference to our ability to work with accessibility metadata,
to help those who have trouble finding the resources they need, and
to those who are interested in resource adaptability for other reasons.
