Hi,
Not sure if I posted before, but anyway... I work as a Therapeutic Community Therapist at Francis Dixon Lodge, a democratic therapeutic community in Leicester, England for people with borderline personality disorder. I am also a member of the Steering Group, and Research group of the Association of Therapeutic Communities (UK), and and Joint Project Lead with Rex Haigh of the Community of Community quality assurance network for therapeutic communities, with special responsibility for prison TCs. I have also been involved in research on therapeutic communities, which have involved both democratic and addiction TCs. I am also a member of the Editorial Collective of the Therapeutic Communities journal - so if anyone feels like writing something for the journal, we would be delighted to receive it - send any submissions to [log in to unmask] Otherwise I am keen to know who is out there and what is going on in the field!!!

Incidentally, I recently sent out the EFTC list flyer to remind people that the list existed and was still active. I can see from the logs that this has resulted in a considerable number of new members.
It would be nice if new members could post a brief message to the list (mail your message to: [log in to unmask] ) saying who they are and what they want to get out of the list. It need not be more than a few sentences but it would really help communication on the list if we had a clearer idea of who the membership was. This is also true of a number of long-standing members who have not yet posted to the list. Again it would be interesting to know who you are, something about the TC you work in and so on.
Also. I would be grateful if the new members (those who joined in 2006) could e-mail me privately (mail your message to: [log in to unmask] ) to let me know if you object to me including your name in the list of members which I will be releasing to list members every three months or so.
