Correct, you cannot change the axis type of an axis in the current
implementation of Analysis, and instead have to create a new window with
the axes the way you want. Given the number of people who don't like this
it's quite possible we'll change this. But it's not just x/y it's
presumably x/y/z1/... that people might like to transpose. For the latter
cases there can be issues with certain spectra no longer being mappable on
the window that were (so that might cause the viewer a certain
disconnect). If it's just x/y then the effects are not so dramatic.
(Note that if there are two axes of the same type then you can change how
the various spectra dims get mapped onto those. But that is a small
subset of what you want to do.)
